Learning should be within reach.

Our approach

Labmora aims to make experiments easier to explore through readable interfaces, labelled controls and more than one way to adjust a setting. Accessibility is ongoing work. We do not currently claim complete WCAG conformance or an independent accessibility certification.

Features available now

  • Standard buttons, labelled controls and visible keyboard focus throughout the main interface.
  • Numeric and slider controls as alternatives to many apparatus-dragging interactions.
  • 2D alternatives for some 3D topics, with numerical results and model information.
  • Optional audio that starts muted, with playback and volume controls in sound-enabled labs.
  • Start and pause controls rather than automatically starting the experiments.
  • Responsive pages, guided investigations and downloadable observations.

Known limitations

Rendered 3D scenes and some graphical plots do not provide an equivalent complete experience for screen readers. Some spatial interactions can be difficult with keyboard-only input. Not every 3D lab has a matching 2D version. Mathematical notation and colour-based overlays may also need teacher explanation or an alternative activity.

Ways to adapt a lesson

Use the parameter controls, numerical readings and model notes alongside the visual scene. Explore the 2D library where it fits the topic. A teacher can describe the apparatus and use the downloadable observations to support a non-visual discussion.
